Our Action Research team are delighted to have their first paper accepted, for presentation at the British Early Childhood Education Research Association’s conference in February in Birmingham.

The theme for the conference is Home Learning Cultures, and Acorn’s paper is about the benefits of Home Visits, which we carry out as part of each child’s settling in at the nursery.

Aimee Pawlak our Nursery Manager at New Bradwell and Zoe, our CEO, have co-written this paper, but it has been a team effort by the Action Research team, and includes data from questionnaires that parents and staff have completed.

Other research projects include focussing on the benefits of our intergenerational engagement with elderly people in care homes and residential retirement accommodation.

Look out for next month’s blog by Aimee, for a summary of the research paper on Home Visits. Our blog section can be found under the 'About Us' tab at the top of this page.
