The staff, children and parents at Acorn’s day nursery in Stony Stratford are celebrating after receiving Outstanding in the nursery’s first inspection. The report commented that “excellent first-hand experiences help children to learn about their local community” and also that children make “particularly impressive progress” in their communication and language skills. The links with the Elizabeth House retirement apartments were also noted, and Kate Ayres, the nursery manager, said “we’re delighted that the Ofsted inspector recognised how embedded we are in the local community, which is down to the excellent work of the team here.”

Well done team Stony!
