The staff, children and parents at our Stanwick nursery are celebrating after receiving Outstanding in every category in the nursery’s recent Ofsted inspection. The nursery, which provides places for 54 children, was given the top grade across all categories and was praised for its pioneering staff engagement!

The report commented that "Children are thrilled as they arrive at this fun and welcoming setting. They are warmly greeted by caring, nurturing staff who know them well.” The inspector described how "This setting offers an ambitious and innovative curriculum that broadens the children's experiences, and provides them many opportunities to be independent.” through staff engagement and the meaningful tasks available to the children.

Partnership with parents and collaboration with outside agencies were also noted, and Sarah Travers, the Nursery Manager, described as “inspirational” by the inspector, said “I’m delighted that the Ofsted inspector recognised how closely we work with our children and their families, and it was overwhelming to hear all the positive feedback from our parents”.

The inspection came hot on the heels as Acorn announced the opening of two more nurseries this September, one in the village of Emberton and the other at the Open University Campus in Milton Keynes.

Zoe Raven, CEO of Acorn Early Years Foundation, says she couldn’t be more pleased with the inspection result "I am immensely proud of our team who have worked together to achieve this grading. The report really reflects the team’s hard work, passion and commitment not only to their job, but to the children and their families”
