We are proud to share that our Head of Early Years & Compliance, Laura Tingey is a finalist for this year’s Women Leaders’ Awards, in the category ‘Community Impact’!

Women Leaders UK is registered charity established to recognise outstanding women, promote and strengthen women’s leadership, and support gender quality and diversity.

Laura oversees the management of Acorn’s Early Years Team which supports all our 16 nurseries in ensuring that consistently high standards are maintained in our early years care and education. Laura is described by her colleagues as “an inspirational leader who will go above and beyond to support others. She shows passion, enthusiasm and is very knowledgeable.”

One of Acorn’s Senior Nursery Managers has also said “Laura has supported my own professional development from Senior Practitioner to Senior Nursery Manager and monitored and coached me to achieve my own outstanding nursery. The Manager I am today reflects on the skills and values that Laura has shared with me and I feel I am always learning new qualities with her support and guidance. Laura is an approachable individual and is always happy to help, she deals with stressful situations seamlessly and remains calm under pressure. I feel that Laura is a huge asset to Acorn, and we would be lost without her.”

We cannot wait to celebrate Laura’s nomination with all the other incredible women at the Women Leaders’ awards night in Doubletree, Hilton Hotel in Milton Keynes, on the 18th June!
