This online course is delivered by Zoom. Joining instructions for all online courses will be sent 1-2 days prior to the course start date. You will then have ongoing access to the system with the course materials after the course has finished.

Course Aims:

To provide designated safeguarding leads working with in the early years to refresh their knowledge and understanding of their role.

To ensure that they remain compliant, competent and confident to fulfil their responsibilities by gaining up-to date knowledge and information that helps, supports and protects children.

  • Fulfilling the 3 C’s of the designated safeguarding lead to be compliant, competent and confident.
  • Applying professional curiosity in practice.
  • Legislation and government guidance.
  • Case review learning.
  • Working with parents.
  • Working in a multi-agency context, collaboration and challenge.
